JAMMU — Shiv Sena’s (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Jammu and Kashmir unit, while continuing its protest against the property tax which is going to be imposed from April 1, has termed it as the April Fool of the central government’s good days.

In a problem organised at  Bari Brahmin area of Jammu today , State chief Manish Sahni, present in the occasion, said that government’s sympathy towards the public has totally died.  No appeal, protest is working against the anti-people and dictatorial decrees of the Jammu and Kashmir administration.  In spite of all-round criticised , the government is going to impose property tax on the people of Jammu and Kashmir on April 1, showing stubborn attitude.

He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been facing terrorism for the last 35 years.  Covid , unemployment and inflation have brought the public to economic misery.  Instead of giving relief to the local people, they are being burdened with the extra burden of tax.

Sahni said that the preparations have also been made to increase the rates of electricity and water bills.

Sahni said that many relaxation and concessions are being given to big industrialists and suit-booters, including giving land in Jammu and Kashmir under the guise of investment, but the people of the state are being burdened with taxes.

Demanding the LG administration to immediately roll back the property tax, Sahni said that let the assembly elections be held first, the issue like property tax should be left to the elected governments.

On this occasion dozens of local youths joined Shiv Sena.  President Kamgar Wing Raj Singh and Shashipal welcomed the new entrants with Shiv Bandhan.
