Congress has suffered a major setback in Jammu and Kashmir. Senior Congress leader Dr Karan Singh’s son Vikramaditya Singh has resigned. During this, he also made allegations against Congress. Vikramaditya Singh said that the party is far from the ground reality on important issues with Jammu and Kashmir.

By tweeting, Vikramaditya said that I was giving my resignation from Congress. My position on important issues of Jammu and Kashmir, which reflects the national interest, does not coincide with that of the Congress party. The position and thinking of the party are different from the ground reality.

In 2017, Vikramaditya Singh, a member of the Legislative Council of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), announced his resignation from the party and the post of MLC. The resignation of Vikramaditya from the PDP had dealt a major blow to the PDP in the Jammu division. During that time, PDP was engaged in increasing its base in the Jammu division. However, Vikramaditya Singh has been speaking about the Jammu division with impunity.
