The 16-year-old, living in the Roop Nagar area of the city, went missing from his house under suspicious circumstances. A kidnapping case has been registered at Janipur police station on the complaint of the juvenile’s parents. SHO Janipur Ejaz Haider says that the search is on for the teenager.
Rajesh Mangotra, a resident of Sector number eight of Rupnagar, reached Janipur police station on Sunday. He filed a complaint that his son Pratyush Mangotra had gone from home to the tuition centre at Janipur main stop on Saturday evening but did not return. Every possible place was searched for him, but no information was found about him.
The Janipur police swung into action as soon as the teen was reported missing and started searching for him. The picture of the teenager was sent to all the police stations and outposts in the city so that any information received about him would be informed to the Janipur police.
