The Jammu and Kashmir Police is in the process of introducing facial recognition technology (FRT). This will create a database related to the information of 10 thousand people. The said system will be started with 200 CCTVs. Through this, the police will be helped in blocking the suspects. Based on this, their activities can be monitored.

According to the information, the police will integrate this system with its existing surveillance infrastructure, Geographic Information System and others. Under this system, the police can keep an eye on the crowd. The number of people present in public and their gender can be ascertained. This will give an estimate of the number of crowds. The identity of the person who comes suddenly into the crowd, even those who pelted stones from the crowd, can also be identified.

There is a preparation to install cameras on behalf of the Police Headquarters. A tender has also been floated in this regard. Sources say that work can be done on it soon. Let us tell you that this will help keep an eye on terrorist activities in Kashmir. Especially the police will be able to take action against suspicious people.
