Sub-Judge Rajesh Kumar Abrol resident Roop Nagar, who was found guilty of rape and cheating two days ago, was sentenced on Saturday by a fast track court to ten years imprisonment and a fine of fifty thousand rupees. On the other hand, if the judge does not pay the fine, he will have to undergo an additional three months in jail for this.
According to the case, a woman living in Ramban had accused Sub-Judge Rajesh Kumar Abrol of cheating and raping her.
While filing the complaint, the woman said that she had come to the sub-judge for legal help in 2018. The judge assured him of support and assured him to educate his daughter. After this, the judge kept the woman in his house for domestic work. In return, he also started giving five thousand rupees to the woman. The judge also got the woman divorced from her husband by doing a deed. After some time, when the woman’s parents came to pick her up, the judge did not let her go.
The judge filled her demand with confidence and said that she was his wife from today. The judge told the woman that he lives alone. He has been separated from his wife. He pretended to be a knower of Kannu and said that he knew all the legal formalities. From today onwards, she is his wife. After this, the judge also raped her. The woman alleges that the judge married her at his house in front of his friend Darshan Gupta and PSO Ashok Jamwal by calling a Pandit from Doda. A year after the marriage, she came to know that the judge had been married twice before. He divorced his first wife, Surbhi, while his second wife was Neetu Bala, still his legal wife.
