2 bootleggers held with 42 bottles of liquor: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police in Ramban district claimed on Monday that it has arrested two bootleggers and recovered 42 bottles of liquor from their possession. Police said that a surprise naka was laid by SHO Ramsu at Magarkote where a suspected person tried to flee seeing the policemen. After a brief chase, police said that the suspect was held and during his personal frisking, 25 bottles of liquor were recovered. In another case, police said that a bootlegger was held at Ramso police station naka and during his search, 17 bottles of liquor were recovered. Police have registered two separate FIRs under section 48(A) of the Excise Act at police station Ramsu and taken up further investigations.
