A teenage girl, who went missing from her residence, was found dead in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
Police said that body of a 17-year-old girl was found along the banks of a river, few days after she went missing from her residence at Kamsar area in Poonch district.
The girl namely Mehak Bi of Mohalla Kamsar, was missing from her home since August 21, police said adding, “the body of the girl was found along the banks of a river near Bikram Singh Yadgar Mangnar.”
Police, however, have confirmed the recovery of the body and said that proceedings under 174 CrPC have been initiated.
