Coronavirus Update: J&K reports 274 new positive cases, 309133 recovered so far

SRINAGAR: The Government on Monday informed that 274 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 113 from Jammu division and 161 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 317250.

Also 06 COVID-19 deaths have been reported, 04 from Jammu Division and 02 from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 461 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 177 from Jammu Division and 284 from Kashmir Division.

Besides this, 89.06 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.

The Bulletin also informs that No confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 30 in the UT of J&K.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 317250 positive cases, 3774 are Active Positive, 309133 have recovered and 4343 have died; 2119 in Jammu division and 2224 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 10255161 test results available, 9937911 samples have been tested as negative till today.

Till date 2479558 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 10200 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 3774 in isolation and 242349 in home surveillance. Besides, 2218892 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 70345 positive cases (including 53 cases reported today) with 724 Active Positive, 68792 recovered (including 92 cases recovered today), 829 deaths; Baramulla has 23329 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 226 Active Positive, 22823 recovered (including 28 cases recovered today), 280 deaths; Budgam reported 22668 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 214 active positive cases, 22250 recovered (including 31 cases recovered today), 204 deaths; Pulwama has 14945 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 159 Active Positive, 14594 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today) and 192 deaths; Kupwara has 13882 positive cases (including 16 cases reported today), 194 Active Positive, 13523 recoveries (including 41 cases recovered today), 165 deaths; Anantnag district has 16172 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 143 Active Positive, 15825 recovered (including 25 cases recovered today), 204 deaths; Bandipora has 9344 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today), with 103 Active Positive, 9141 recoveries (including 14 cases recovered today), 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 9672 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 182 Active Positive, 9414 recoveries (including 11 cases recovered today) and 76 deaths; Kulgam has 11123 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 154 Active Positive, 10853 recoveries (including 30 cases recovered today) and 116 deaths while as Shopian has 5561 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 10 active positive cases, 5493recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today) and 58 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 52442 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 494 active positive cases, 50812 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today), 1136 deaths; Udhampur has 11197 positive cases, 68 active positive cases, 10998 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today) and 131 deaths; Rajouri has 10751 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 105 active positive, 10426 recoveries (including 16 cases recovered today) and 220 deaths; Doda has 6913 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 212 Active positive, 6582 recovered (including 28 cases recovered today) and 119 deaths; Kathua has 9219 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 19 active positive cases, 9051 recovered and 149 deaths; Samba has 7091 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 56 active positive cases, 6916 recoveries and 119 deaths; Kishtwar has 4515 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 115 Active Positive, 4357 recoveries (including 18 cases recovered today) and 43 deaths; Poonch has 6138 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 188 active positive, 5856 recoveries (including 21 cases recovered today) and 94 deaths; Ramban has 5872 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 88 active positive cases, 5719 recoveriesand 65 deaths while Reasi has 6071 positive cases (with 72 cases reported today) with 320 active positive cases, 5708 recoveries (including 76 cases recovered today) and 43 deaths.

According to the bulletin, among the total 317250 positive cases in J&K, 22570 have been reported as travelers while 294680 as others.

The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.

The bulletin added that there are 2485 COVID dedicated beds, 2081 Isolation beds with 2020 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 379 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 2866 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 218 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5838 COVID dedicated beds, 5155 Isolation beds with 4886 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 597 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Central Government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation of Covid-19 in the Union Territory and is providing all necessary support towards effective containment of the spread of Covid-19 and better clinical management of positive cases.

The government has also started free tele-consultation general OPD services by Specialists/MBBS Doctors for the residents of J&K under National Tele-consultation Service.
