3 notorious thieves arrested, 11 stolen batteries recovered

JAMMU: Bishnah Police arrested three notorious thieves and recovered 11 stolen batteries. As per police sources, a written complaint was lodged on March 5 this year by a person namely Nikhil Sharma, son of Dwaraka Nath of village Upper Kanhal with Police Station Bishnah stating that some unknown persons have stolen the batteries of his mini-bus bearing registration numbers JK02AX-1629 and JK02S-9847, which were parked at village Upper Kanhal.

Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 81/2021 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started. During the course of investigation, a special team led by SHO Inspector Joginder Singh was constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan.

The special team after collaborating the technical and human intelligence arrested the three thieves, who were identified as Paramvir Singh, son of late Avtar Singh of Ward Number 8 Sainik Colony District Jammu, Monu Sharma, son of Kala Ram of Nanak Nagar District Jammu and Sunil Kumar, son of Raj Kumar, a resident of Model Town Gangyal District Jammu. During sustained questioning, they confessed that they had stolen batteries from Bishnah and different area of Jammu District with the help of his associate/gang members. On their disclosure, 11 stolen batteries were recovered.

Further questioning of the arrested persons is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
