KATHUA: Police, under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua R C Kotwal, on Monday succeeded in arresting a notorious criminal from Chadwal, who has more than half dozen of FIRs in his name at different Police Stations of the district.
As per details, a team of Police Post Chadwal led by Incharge SI Arun slathia under the supervision of SDPO Border Sachit Mahajan during routine patrolling in Chadwal pond area, nabbed a person namely Kanwaljeet Singh alias Kabbu, son of Amarjeet Singh, resident of Jasrota, Kathua and recovered a sharp-edged weapon (Tokka) from his possession. A case vide FIR No. 45/21 under Section 4/25 of Arms Act was registered in Police Station Rajbagh.
It is pertinent to mention here that the said person has been already involved in many cases registered vide FIR Nos 146/12 under Sections 307/147/148 of RPC; FIR No. 182/13 under Sections of 436 RPC; FIR No. 172/14 under Sections 307/341/323/34 of RPC and 4/25 of A Act; FIR No. 29/16 under Section 379 of RPC; FIR No. 231/17 under Sections 341/323/201/34 of RPC; FIR No 86/20 under Sections 353/332/506 of IPC and 3/4 of PPD Act at Police Station Rajbagh and Fir No 3/21 under Sections 341/323/382 of IPC and 4/25 of Arms Act at Police Station Kathua.
