Over 2.61 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines administered to beneficiaries in country so far

NEW DELHI: More than two crore 61 lakh 64 thousand doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered to the beneficiaries in the country so far.

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry has informed today that a total of four lakh 80 thousand 740 doses of vaccines have been administered to the beneficiaries in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate declined to 96.85 per cent with a total recovery of more than 15 thousand patients within 24 hours. The Health Ministry said, more than one crore nine lakh 53 thousand patients have already recovered from this disease.

However, the active caseload is continuously rising in the country due to a sudden spike in the cases reported from various States. At present, there are one lakh 97 thousand 237 active cases in the country which comprises 1.74 per cent of the total positive cases. A total of 23 thousand 285 new cases have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative positive cases to over one crore 13 lakh.

The Health Ministry said, 117 deaths have been reported within a day taking the toll to over one lakh 58 thousand across the country.

Various laboratories have conducted more than seven lakh 40 thousand tests of corona virus samples in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative testing to more than 22 crore 49 lakh.
