Over 2.56 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines administered to beneficiaries in country so far

NEW DELHI: More than two crore 56 lakh 85 thousand doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered to the beneficiaries in the country so far.

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry today informed that a total of 13 lakh 17 thousand 357 doses of vaccines have been administered in the last 24 hours to the beneficiaries. Meanwhile, the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate reached 96.92 per cent with a total recovery of more than 18 thousand patients within 24 hours. The Ministry said, more than one crore nine lakh 38 thousand patients have already been recovered from this disease and there are one lakh 89 thousand 226 active cases in the country which comprises 1.67 per cent of the total positive cases.

A total of 22 thousand 854 new cases have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours taking the cumulative positive cases to over one crore 12 lakh 85 thousand. The Health Ministry said, 126 deaths have been reported within 24 hours taking the toll to over one lakh 58 thousand across the country.

Various laboratories have conducted more than seven lakh 78 thousand tests of corona virus samples in the last 24 hours taking the total testing to more than 22 crore 48 lakh.
