Vardayini Learning Centre inaugurated at GMS Dodgi Gujjar

JAMMU: At a simple but impressive function, the recently established “Vardayini Learning Centre” was today thrown open for the students of Government Middle School Dodgi Gujjar, Jammu.

On this occasion, Deepa Kotwal, President Jammu Kashmir Indian Administrative Officers’ Wives Association (JKIASOWA) accompanied by Shweta Kansal, Vice president JKIASOWA and other members of the Association participated and donated good collection of books, sports equipments, electronic gadgets, toys and other such material to the recently established Learning Centre in the school premises that would help in enhancing the learning experience of the young students. Director School Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta, thanked the members of JKIASOWA for their contribution. In her message to the students, their parents, staff members and other stakeholders, she divulged that two more such learning centers are being opened in the government schools of Jammu district.

The directorate plans to replicate the same in other schools as well with the objective of making learning a joyful experience for children. She hoped that the great gesture shown by the members of IASOWA shall encourage community participation and ownership of government schooling system. The visiting members of the JKIASOWA included Sapna Agarwal, Geetanjli Singla, Namami Sahu, Anuradha Jaignd and Rajni Shailendra Mishra. They appreciated the opening of the Learning centre and assured of their continued support. Deputy Director( Planning) Directorate of School Education Jammu, Mamta Sharma, thanked the engineers of school education dept, head of the school and other staff members who supervised the execution of the project.

She also thanked visiting members of the IASOWA for their interest and contribution in adding to the resources of the newly established Learning centre. Chief Education Officer Jammu, Vijay Sharma, congratulated everyone connected with the initiative and hoped for its replication in other schools.

He also thanked the members of IASOWA, who have contributed generously for enriching the Learning Centre.
