PHDCCI Jammu delegation calls on Lt Governor

JAMMU: Delegation of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PHCCI) led by its Chairman Rahul Sahai today called on Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha here at Raj Bhavan.

Rahul Sahai submitted a memorandum of suggestions on measures for revival of J&K Economy including promotion of tourism sector; revenue generation through Ease of Doing Business measures; revival of sick MSME units; single window clearance; infrastructural development of tourism and pilgrimage places, besides others. While interacting with the members of the delegation, the Lt Governor observed that the J&K Government has initiated several significant measures for economic advancement of the people of the UT.  He assured the delegation that the issues projected by them would be looked into meticulously for their early redressal.

The suggestions discussed in threadbare with Lieutenant Governor included : · The release of 2nd installment for interest subvention · Free Hold Rights of Industrial land and JDA colonies Land · Resolution of Gair Mumkin Khad As 70 to 80 % land of Jammu is named as khad · Policy for Construction on land near Army walls as per country wide standards · Requested personal visit to Transport Nagar Jammu  · Sick Units Due to Change in Govt Policies/ Taxes : latest example of Devan Modern Brewerages coming under bracket of sick unit due to levy of Rs 2 per bottle export duty  · Wrong Registration fee Charging by revenue Department : If an enterprise enhance a loan , Registration fee to be charged on only enhanced value but registering authority charging on valuation of the property , Needs immediate correction  · Delegation requested for early completion of Expansion of Jammu Airport in line with other Airports in the country and Requested pick up and drop facility near Airport Building , we request to make bigger parking so that cars can enter and drop / pickup passengers from the main building of Airport .  · Discussed proposal of Shutdown of Airport in March for 15 days by Air Force requested intervention for not to go for a long shutdown   · Payments to Hotels who have given rooms as quarantine centers still pending   · Request for release of 2nd instalment of 5% interest subvention under 1350 Cr relief package announced , Some banks like HDFC have not received 1st also  · The registration-road tax of 9% of New Vehicles in Auto sector needs to be rolled back  · Transport Subsidy for Raw materials for Industry ,  · Interest Subsidy for all the existing Units ,   · Power Infrastructure to be Augmented ,  · Allotment of Industrial land for Auto workshops and other service industry.  · Suggestions regarding Ease Of Doing Business (Industrial sector ) in lue of charges by sicop / Sidco ·

Rollback of 9% tax on new vehicles,  · Revision in Jammu master plan,  Others present in the Meeting were Kuldeep Gupta, Sanjay Aggarwal, Vikrant Kuthiala, Prem Dewan.
