Atleast 33 passengers were killed and 22 received critical injuries after an overloaded Mini Bus bearing registration number JK17- 6787 which was on its way from Keshwan to Kishtwar met with an accident. As per reports, the Mini bus fell down into deep gorge which led to death of 33 passengers. Immediatedly after the accident, the locals, police, administration officer rushed the spot for rescue operation. The injured were shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar. Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana, told that 33 people have lost their lives in the accident and the death toll is likely to rise. Besides, 22 injured passengers are also in critical condition. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief minister Omar Abdullah took to Twitter and condoled the death, stating, “Terrible news coming in about the high death toll in a bus accident in Kishtwar. Condolences to the families of the deceased & prayers for the swift recovery of the injured.”
