4G ban extended in J&K till Feb 6

JAMMU: The Government has extended ban on 4G internet services in all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir, except Udhampur and Ganderbal, up to February 6.

An order issued by J&K Home Department said that the internet speed shall be restricted to 2G, except in Ganderbal and Udhampur where mobile connectivity shall be made available without any speed related restrictions. For fixed line internet connectivity, internet services shall be made available with Mac-binding.

These restrictions shall be effective from January 23 to Feb 6 unless modified earlier, the order said.
