With the aim to connect with Veterans, an interaction with Ex- Serviceman was conducted at Keri, Phardala, Basoni, Galuthi, and Thanamandi (Rajouri) by Army.
During the interaction, the Ex- Serviceman were acquainted with the various initiative undertaken by the Army for the welfare of Ex- Serviceman in the AOR while adhering to strict guidelines of COVID-19 pandemic. The gathering was made aware of latest Govt Policies, Pre- recruitment rallies and Sainik School Coaching carried out and planned in next three months. Data of personal issues were also collected for early disposal with respective departments. The attendees were also informed of two Army Goodwill Schools run by Army in the region so that children in their families can make use of school for structured education. Ex- Serviceman pledged that they will motivate youth of their area to Join Armed Forces to be part of mainstream, keep them away from illegal activities like drug peddling and keep in touch with civil administration.
The event concluded over cup of tea and refreshments. A total of 93 Ex-serviceman attended the event.
