Dr. Gopal Parthasarthi appointed Secretary Dharmarth Trust

Former Governor and Chairman of Jammu & Kashmir Dharmarth Trust, Dr. Karan Singh, today appointed Dr. Gopal Parthasarthi Sharma as the Secretary of J&K Dharmarth Trust. In an order issued here by Dr. Karan Singh, Dr. Gopal Parthasarthi Sharma was appointed as Secretary of the Trust with effect from 1st of September 2020. Dr. Sharma was welcomed to the Dharmarth Trust, Head Office Jammu by the President of the Trust, Mubarak Singh. On the occasion of his appointment, Dr. Sharma said that he was grateful and felt privileged to have the opportunity to be a part of such a historic organization, with a prestigious legacy and a colossal contribution to society and religion in Jammu & Kashmir. He added that he would provide his best services, with full dedication for achieving the purpose of the Trust. Dr. Gopal Sharma, a resident of Jammu, is a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Jammu and has a MBA Finance as well. In addition to pursuing his academic and scholarly interests, Dr. Sharma is also an active member of several civil society groups and social causes in Jammu. The J&K Dharmarth Trust was established in 1846 by the Founder of Jammu & Kashmir, Maharaja Gulab Singh. The Trust is the custodian and caretaker of several major Hindu Temples and Religious Places across Jammu region and Kashmir Valley.
