The district administration has said that 346 persons have been kept under home quarantine. “Among them 311 persons have come from other parts of the country and 35 have returned from Middle East and Saudi Arabia after the outbreak of deadly COVID 19,” said an official. He said that there are no positive cases in the hilly district. “We have requested residents of the district to provide information at emergency numbers if they have any knowledge about people who have recently returned from foreign countries.” Meanwhile, a lockdown as ordered by the government to prevent the spread of Coronavirus was strictly enforced here on Friday. The district administration had requested people to offer prayers at homes and there were no vehicle plying on the roads and all shops, except vegetable shops were shut.
