District magistrate, Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganai Monday booked two shopkeepers and seized six shops for violation of lockdown orders issued as a precautionary measure to contain spread of covid-19 in the district. The district magistrate-led team of officers carried out inspection of various markets to ensure complete lockdown was being observed. The inspection was carried out at Budgam market, new bus stand, Ompora, Shiekhpora, Humhama, airport road and other markets and during inspections six shops were seized, while as two shopkeepers were booked (FIR section No 188 IPC) for violation of lockdown orders. The magistrate stressed on shopkeepers, owners of restaurants and other business establishments to ensure complete shutdown across all markets to contain spread of infection.
