Police on Wednesday said it busted militant hideouts in twin districts of Pulwama and Kulgam. A statement said based on credible inputs, police, with the assistance of 42 RR and CRPF busted a hideout Jaish-e-Muhammad militant outfit in Buchoo/Kamala forests area of Awantipora. “We recovered incriminating materials including explosive materials from the hideout,” said the statement, adding a case (FIR No.20/2020) has been registered in police station Tral. It said officers from local police station are investigating the cases. A separate statement said, police, with the assistance of security forces busted another militant hideout of Lashkar-e-Toiaba in Akhal forest area of Kulgam. It said incriminating materials including explosive materials used for making IEDs and other documents were recovered from the hideout. A case (FIR No. 16/2020) has been registered in police station Devsar and investigations initiated, said the statement.
