Doda-Bhadarwah Road closed after landslides Dozens of vehicles stranded

Dozens of vehicles were stranded after landslides triggered by torrential rains closed Doda-Bhadarwah road on Friday evening. The 30 km Doda-Bhadarwah road was closed for traffic after heavy landslides occurred at Drudu area, leaving dozens of vehicles stranded. A huge tree also got uprooted and fell on the road. Traffic officials led by SO Traffic Bhadarwah Nisar Ahmed rushed to the spot. Passengers stranded at both sides of the landslide area, alleged that no clearance operation was started by the authorities forcing people to cross the road by foot. A stranded passenger, Nasir Shah said that “I am waiting here since last two hours but except traffic officials, no one visited here to clear the road. Where are the concerned authorities, who are responsible for repair and maintenance of this road.”
