A book entitled “Forensic Psychology” written by Dr. Chandra Shekhar, Department of Psychology, JU and Pooja Sharma, counsellor was released by Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu in his Office Chamber. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dhar congratulated the authors’ and on the occasion said that forensic psychology has turned out to be an important focal point of medical practice as nicely as scientific research, and it has emerged as one of the most popular matter for both undergraduate and graduate students. Dr Shekhar apprised Vice-Chancellor that the book is supposed to serve as an introduction and information to the appreciation and perception of the vast historical, contemporary, an future relationship between the world of the forensic sciences and Psychology. The target market to which this learns about is directed are these intimately or potentially concerned in that relationship: police, forensic scientists, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and professors and students of the crook law. It is pertinent to mention here that this book contains six chapters explaining different aspects of forensic psychology. Chapter one includes an Introduction to forensic psychology. An Introduction covers fundamental principles and its utility. It also explains its adaptations in India. Furthermore, this is the 4th book of Dr. Chandra Shekhar. Among others Prof Rajni Dhingra, Registrar and Puneet Jain were also present on the occasion.
