Manju Kumar, a senior officer in the Department of Posts, Government of India, joined as new Chief Postmaster General, J&K circle, here on Wednesday. An Indian Postal Service (IPoS) Officer of the 1989 batch, Manju was welcomed by Gaurav Srivastava, Director, Postal Services (Headquarters), on her new assignment in the J&K circle.Prior to her posting as Chief Postmaster General, J&K circle, Manju was working as Deputy Director General (Personnel), Dak Bhawan, New Delhi. Soon after taking over, she reviewed the functioning of the Postal Department in J&K and Ladakh. She further expressed confidence the India Post would continue to work as an arm of the Centre in implementing various government schemes across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh besides providing the traditional postal services.
