Aday after the announcement of the results of the assembly elections in five states, Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav demanded that the BJP should give priority to a woman chief minister in West Bengal. In a post on his social media account, Akhilesh Yadav wrote, “Since the results in West Bengal have been arbitrarily declared, the chief minister, as per BJP tradition, will also be chosen arbitrarily.” “Therefore, it is a special demand that this time the “slot” should be drawn in the name of the one who has, since ancient times, epitomized the negative male attitude and exploitation of women. Even Lohia Ji advised us to consider her the ideal Indian woman,” he suggested Hopefully, this will be implemented in the context of “women’s reservation”, he further added. Raising the smart meter issue of Uttar Pradesh, the SP president said, “Our opposition to the corrupt system of prepaid meters has finally brought the arrogant government to its knees. This is a victory for people’s power. The conscious people of Uttar Pradesh will no longer tolerate the BJP’s atrocities and corruption”.
He alleged, “The inflated bills collected from the BJP under the pretext of prepaid meters should be logically adjusted in the next bills. If AI can be used to delete names from voter lists, why not for logical adjustments? The money taken from the public through electricity bills is the BJP’s loot, which must be returned to the public. Otherwise we all will come together and start another new movement.”
