UDHAMPUR, Sept 23
In continuation to ongoing Sewa Parv and Swasth Nari Shakshat Parivar Abhiyaan campaign, the health teams, under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai on Tuesday conducted comprehensive screening and counselling for women across Udhampur district.
The individuals were screened for hypertension, diabetes, anaemia, tuberculosis and common cancers and provided free diagnostic tests like haemoglobin, blood sugar, sputum, chest X-ray and ultrasound.
Health education sessions promoted balanced nutrition, healthy lifestyle and importance of early disease detection. Women with health concerns were referred for further care.
Meanwhile, a series of activities and awareness programmes were organised in Block Ramnagar, where participants pledged to “Say No to Plastic” and adopt eco-friendly alternatives, reaffirming commitment to a clean, green and sustainable future.
