The three-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “New Age Teaching Technique”, organized by Dogra Degree College under the aegis of its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with ICT Academy, concluded successfully on 12th July 2025 with an insightful and inspiring Valedictory Session.
The final day of the FDP focused on practical learning, hands-on demonstrations, and faculty presentations. Participants showcased their work on the newly launched teaching content websites, demonstrating the use of advanced PPT tools, blog creation, and digital content sharing techniques. The session explored modern online pedagogical tools such as PHET.Colorado, Edu.aide.ai, and Gravitywrite, providing educators with accessible and impactful platforms to enhance interactive learning in the classroom. These tools received an enthusiastic response, as faculty engaged in live demonstrations and collaborative discussions on how to integrate them effectively into their teaching practices.
The Valedictory Ceremony was graced by Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust, who presented a memento of appreciation to the esteemed resource person, Ms. Aruljothi A.P., Soft Skills Trainer from ICT Academy. In his address, Chairman Sir highlighted the irreplaceable role of teachers in society, stating, that teachers are the ones who show the light to students. Their true happiness lies in seeing their students reach great heights in life.He congratulated Ms. AruljothiAP, and ICT Academy for their collaborative efforts in making this FDP a success. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Pranika Gupta, who acknowledged the valuable contribution of ICT Academy and appreciated the tireless efforts of the organizing committeeheaded by Mr. Rakesh Mohan Koul, HoD, BBA & B.Com. She also expressed gratitude to all faculty members from Dogra Degree College, Dogra Law College, Dogra College of Education, and Trikuta Degree College for their enthusiastic participation. The session was also graced by the presence of Dr. Bela Thakur, Director, Dogra Group of Colleges, Dr. Dharamveer Sharma, Dean, Dogra Group of Colleges; Dr. Jay Prakash Srivastav, Principal, Dogra Law College; Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal, Dogra College of Education&Dr. Shefali Sharma , Academic Coordinator & IQAC Convener, Dogra College of Educationwho appreciated the relevance of such capacity-building initiatives in enhancing teaching standards across institutions.
The ceremony concluded on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, leaving all participants with a sense of pride and accomplishment.This three-day FDP successfully equipped faculty members with innovative strategies, digital tools, and modern pedagogical practices-reflecting Dogra Degree College’s ongoing commitment to excellence in education.
