Dogra Degree College successfully organized an Alumni Talk Series under the aegis of the Placement Cell and Alumni Committee. The session aimed at nurturing meaningful connections between current students and accomplished alumni, and proved to be a landmark event in bridging the gap between academia and industry.
The program commenced with an interactive address by Rakesh Mohan Koul, Head of Department (BBA & B.Com), who shared powerful insights on career planning and the five pillars of professional growth: Talent, Networking, Continuous SWOC Analysis, Alumni Contribution, and Innovation. His address set an inspirational tone for the event. The distinguished Alumni Speakers who spoke at the event, Gundeep Pal Singh Raina, UGC NET Qualified, Ritwik Sharma, Business Analyst, WNS Co. and Komal Rajput, Entrepreneur, LUXE AABHUSHAN. These alumni, from varied professional spheres, candidly shared their personal journeys, challenges, and valuable strategies to navigate the evolving career landscape. Their stories served as motivation for the students to take initiative, build relevant skills, and align academic learning with industry expectations.
The event was conducted under the able guidance of Dr. Bela Thakur, Director, Dogra Group of colleges and Principal of Dogra Degree College. Students from BBA, B.Com, and BA 6th and 4th semesters participated with enthusiasm and curiosity, making the event an engaging and rewarding experience.
The session concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Balwant Singh Parihar, who lauded the alumni for their time, encouragement, and continuous association with their alma mater. The series not only provided career clarity and motivation but also reinforced the value of alumni engagement in guiding future generations.
