Wife among three arrested for murder of man

Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested three persons, including two women, in the murder case of a man over a domestic dispute in Udhampur district.
Police here on Sunday said that information was received at Police Station Chenani on May 22 regarding a suspicious bag emitting a foul smell found in Laddha village.
Upon inspection, the police team found a decomposed body inside the bag following which a case under relevant sections was registered and investigation was taken up.
The deceased later was identified as Ravi Kumar of Chulna, Panchari.
During the course of the investigation, a police team led by SDPO Chenani Sukhvir Singh and SHO PS Chenani Jasbir Singh rounded up several suspects and after sustained questioning and the use of technical analysis, three persons were taken into custody.
The suspects namely, Nisha Devi, wife of the deceased, Kanta Devi, wife of Bittu Ram, and Joginder, all residents of Nargela, during questioning disclosed their involvement in the murder due to personal domestic dispute.
Based on their disclosures, key recoveries including the weapon of offence, were made and further investigation of the case is underway, said police.
