In a heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers of the Indian Defence Forces, Dogra Degree College successfully organised a social media campaign under the theme “Rashtra Pratham – Nation First” on 13th May 2025. The event was a collaborative effort of the college’s NSS Unit and NCC Unit, aimed at expressing gratitude and national pride through digital platforms.
The campaign was held under the able leadership of Ms. Bela Thakur, Director, Dogra Educational Trust, and saw overwhelming participation from students and staff alike. Participants showcased their patriotism by sharing animation videos, posters, images, poems, and songs across social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter.
Simran Thakur, NSS Programme Officer, commended the enthusiasm and creativity displayed by the students. She emphasized that such initiatives cultivate a sense of responsibility and deepen respect for the Defence Forces among youth.
Gulshan Sharma, NCC CTO/ANO, highlighted the campaign as a meaningful medium to connect young minds with the values of discipline, unity, and service to the nation.
Notably, more than 50 participants, including teaching, non-teaching staff, and the librarian, actively contributed, making the campaign a truly inclusive and inspiring effort.
The posts, tagged with Dogra Degree College and MyGov, resonated with the spirit of patriotism and reflected the collective pride of the Dogra family in the Indian Defence Army’s selfless service.
