To ensure smooth and grand celebration of the Rajouri Day, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa today chaired a meeting of officers to review the preparations and arrangements for the event and the series of activities preceding the main function.
The meeting held detailed discussions on various aspects including installation of stalls, organization of cultural programmes, law and order management, seating arrangements, barricading, fire emergency preparedness, traffic regulation, and overall security measures.
ADDC Dr. Thapa directed the concerned departments to work in close coordination to ensure that all arrangements are put in place well in time. He emphasized the importance of showcasing local art and culture through the cultural programs and directed for proper planning and rehearsals.
The layout and proper installation of stalls representing different departments, schemes and local crafts was also reviewed. The ADDC instructed the officers to maintain the aesthetics and ensure visitor-friendly arrangements.
With regard to law and order, traffic, and fire safety, the concerned departments were directed to deploy adequate personnel and make all necessary arrangements to deal with any eventuality. Special instructions were given for ensuring smooth vehicular movement and crowd management.
The ADDC urged all stakeholders to work with dedication and in a coordinated manner to make Rajouri Day celebrations a grand success.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, CP Kotwal; Programme Officer ICDS, Mohd Fareed Kohli and other district and sectoral officers.
