Leh police runners shine in eighth edition of Ladakh Marathon

Two runners of District Police Leh brought laurels to larger family of Jammu and Kashmir Police by excelling in the eighth edition of World’s Highest Ladakh Marathon of Khardungla Challenge. Ct Jigmet Dorjey posted at District Police Lines Leh got fourth position with 7 hrs 35 min 06 seconds whereas SgCt Mohd Ibrahim posted at North Pulu finished at 26th position with 10 hrs 20 min 24 seconds. Appreciating both the star runners, SSP Leh Sargun Shukla presented them with traditional Khataks and assured them all possible support and suitable rewards for their further encouragement and growth. Sargun further reiterated that Ct Jigmet Dorjey and SgCt Mohd Ibrahim proving their mettle have made not only District Police Leh but whole Jammu and Kashmir Police proud. It is pertinent to mention that Ct Jigmet Dorjey finishing at fourth position has participated in the event for the first time and finished ahead of all professional athletes and SgCt Mohd Ibrahim finished last year in the same Khardungla competition.
