In a noteworthy initiative to enhance employability and foster economic empowerment among women, the Indian Army has launched a three-month Beautician Course at the Youth Employment Guidance Node (YEGN) in Palma, Rajouri. The program, which began on 1 November 2024, is designed to equip local women with professional skills in the beauty and wellness industry, thereby improving their job prospects and economic independence.
The comprehensive training program includes expert-led theory and practical sessions conducted in a dedicated, well-equipped beautician training room. The curriculum covers a range of skills, including makeup application and other essential beauty techniques, ensuring participants gain hands-on experience. On completing the course, participants will be awarded certificates from the National Skill Development Council, enhancing their credibility and employability in the job market.
