Arvind Gupta, MLA from Jammu West Constituency, actively participated in a meeting convened at Town Hall, Jammu, under the chairmanship of JMC Commissioner Devansh Yadav. The meeting witnessed the participation of several legislators and key officers from the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), aimed at discussing developmental priorities and addressing civic issues.
During the meeting, Arvind Gupta emphasized the urgent need for transformative measures to uplift and beautify Jammu West Constituency. Highlighting the developmental gaps, he drew attention to the lack of infrastructure in Ward No. 32 and urged the JMC authorities to prepare a comprehensive Detailed Project Report (DPR) to address the specific needs of the area.
Advocating for the establishment of modern amenities, Arvind Gupta called for the creation of a recreation and community centers in Jammu West. He stressed that such a facility would not only serve as a hub for social gatherings but also enhance community engagement and recreational opportunities for the residents. Gupta also underscored the importance of enhancing the aesthetics of the walkway adjoining Ranbir Canal. He urged JMC to implement beautification initiatives such as landscaping, adequate lighting, and the installation of benches along the canal to make it an attractive spot for the public.
Focusing on infrastructure maintenance, Gupta recommended the proper upkeep of power transformers across the constituency. He suggested that transformers should display a small plate indicating their power wattage to ensure transparency and facilitate timely maintenance. Additionally, he highlighted the need for improved management of overhead water tanks, proposing that these facilities should have visible boards displaying the last cleaning date to maintain hygiene and water quality. Arvind Gupta commended the efforts of JMC in addressing public concerns and assured his unwavering commitment to working with the administration for the holistic development of Jammu West Constituency. He appealed to the authorities to expedite the implementation of these proposals and ensure transparency and accountability in all developmental activities.
The MLA reaffirmed his vision of transforming Jammu West into a model constituency, with modern amenities, well-maintained infrastructure, and aesthetic appeal, enhancing the overall quality of life for its residents.
The JMC Commissioner assured MLA Arvind Gupta that all necessary steps would be taken to address the highlighted issues on a priority basis.
