The NCC Unit of Dogra Degree College commemorated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) by organizing a pledge-taking ceremony under the guidance of the 4 J&K Battalion NCC, Jammu. This day marked the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, celebrated as the “Iron Man of India” for his pivotal role in uniting independent India. The event began with the NCC cadets and students of Dogra Degree College solemnly pledging to uphold the values of unity, integrity, and security of the nation. Volunteers expressed their commitment to spreading this message among their fellow citizens and contributing to the country’s internal security and harmony. The spirit of unification was palpable as students remembered Patel’s vision and actions that made national integration possible. The ceremony also aimed to reinforce patriotism, integrity, and communal harmony, encouraging the students to actively work towards the nation’s progress. Over 30 students participated, sharing reflections on Patel’s significant contributions to India’s unity.
The event was conducted under the supervision of Gulshan Sharma, ANO/CTO of the NCC Unit at Dogra Degree College, fostering a deep sense of respect for national integration among the young generation.
