The office bearers of Chamber of Commerce & industry led by its President Sh. Arun Gupta today met Sh. Anshuman Sharma IRS, Director of Income Tax, Intelligence and Criminal Investigation, Chandigarh at Jammu. While interacting Sh. Arun Gupta apprised the Director Income Tax that now the time has changed, people are paying Income Tax honestly and priority of the people including the business community is ‘NATION FIRST’ i.e why the number of taxpayers is increasing day by day. He also said that there was a time when the Income Tax authorities were off & on visiting the premises of the Taxpayers due to which the taxpayers feel harassed and were penalized even if no tax default was detected. But now the taxpayers are paying their Income Tax honestly to reduce their own stress. Though after the Covid-19 period the collection of Income tax has slowed down but keeping in mind the “NATION FIRST” the taxpayers are moving forwarded to pay Income tax dues honestly.
The Director Income Tax Sh. Anshuman Sharma IRS, Director of Income Tax, Intelligence and Criminal Investigation, Chandigarh while reacting said that we are very much on the job and that we should not visit the premises of the tax payers unnecessarily instead we motivate them to pay the Income tax honestly. In this regard we are going to organize an outreach program in the month of November 2024 to educate, guide and motivate the tax payers to pay their Income tax honestly.
