Valmiki Community gets new identity under BJP Regime after abrogation of Article 370.
This was stated by Yudhvir Sethi, MLA of East Constituency, while addressing a gathering at a Langar organized by the Valmiki Samaj at Dogra Chowk. The event was coordinated by Vijay Gill, President of the Valmiki Community.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi expressed his gratitude to the community for their unwavering support in the recently conducted Assembly polls. He emphasized the transformative steps taken by the BJP Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, “The abrogation of Article 370 has been a historic decision that has ensured equal rights and representation for all sections of society, including the Valmiki community, which had been marginalized for more than six decades under previous regimes.”
The senior BJP leader lashed out at the Congress and National Conference for depriving the Valmiki community of their basic rights. “For years, the Congress and National Conference played with the sentiments of the Valmiki community, using them as mere vote banks. Their children were denied opportunities, and their aspirations were crushed under the false promises of these parties. It was the BJP that stood firm and abolished Article 370, thereby granting the community a new identity and equal rights,” he said.
Sethi further added that the BJP has always been committed to the upliftment of all marginalized communities, ensuring that they receive the recognition and opportunities they deserve. “Our government is dedicated to empowering every section of society, and the abrogation of Article 370 was a step in that direction. Today, every child of the Valmiki community can dream big, pursue their aspirations, and contribute to the progress of the nation without any discrimination,” he affirmed.
Vijay Gill, President of the Valmiki Community, thanked Yudhvir Sethi for his continuous support and acknowledged the efforts of the BJP Government in ensuring the welfare of the Valmiki community. He highlighted that the Langar event was a testament to the unity and solidarity within the community, and he pledged continued support to the BJP in their mission to uplift all sections of society.
