Reasi Police pays reverent visit to family of martyr CT Altaf Hussain

In a poignant display of reverence and solidarity, Reasi Police extended their heartfelt condolences and support to the family of Martyr Constable Altaf Hussain, who valiantly sacrificed his life during an encounter at Surankote, Poonch, on April 16, 2000. A team from Police Post Banna, led by Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi, Ms. Mohita Sharma-IPS, paid a visit to the home of the brave martyr in Dhabotal, Hassote, Tehsil Chassana, District Reasi.
During the visit, the police team offered assistance and listened attentively to the concerns raised by the family members of Martyr Constable Altaf Hussain. The family was also thanked profoundly for the supreme sacrifice made by their loved one towards the nation’s sovereignty and integrity. It was a moment of profound respect and acknowledgment for the selfless service rendered by Martyr CT Altaf Hussain.
Throughout the interaction, genuine grievances were voiced by the Martyr’s family, reflecting their enduring commitment to the memory of their loved one and their desire for continued support from the authorities. The police team assured the family that their grievances would be earnestly taken up with the relevant authorities for timely redressal, ensuring that their welfare remains a top priority.
The visit aimed not only to offer solace and support to the grieving family but also to strengthen the bond between the Jammu & Kashmir Police Department and the families of its martyrs. SSP Reasi, Ms. Mohita Sharma-IPS, reassured the Next of Kin (NOKs) of Police Martyrs of the department’s unwavering commitment to providing every possible assistance. She lauded the exemplary role played by their loved ones, emphasizing that the Jammu & Kashmir Police Department remains forever indebted to their invaluable service and sacrifice.
Emphasizing the ethos of solidarity and familial support, SSP Reasi urged the NOKs of Police Martyrs to consider the police department as their extended family and to feel comfortable sharing their concerns and grievances at any time.
The visit not only honored the memory of Martyr CT Altaf Hussain but also reaffirmed the enduring bond between the police force and the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation.
