Under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Mohan Singh, Director of Ayush J&K UT, and the vigilant supervision of Dr. Vandana Dogra, District Ayush Officer of Jammu, a significant health initiative was undertaken at Lord Shiva Day Boarding School, Ghoumanhasan. This event, held on Wednesday, was part of the Har Ghar Ayush medical aid camp, Anemia Mukt Bharat, and NCD Mukt Bharat campaigns.
Dr. Jitender Kumar, MD, in-charge of the Government Ayush Health and Wellness Center, Ghou Manashan Marh, spearheaded this event. Alongside a dedicated team of professionals including Dr. Shafali Bakshi, Dr. Vimal Sharma, Dr. Sushil Bhat, Dr. Sandeep Bhagat, MD, pharmacists Sh. Tara Chand and Smt. Pooja Sharma, and a host of ASHA and Aganwadi workers, the camp offered comprehensive health check-ups to students, staff, parents, and local residents. The presence and support of Sh. Ashok Kumar Magotra, Chairman of Lord Shiva School, Smt. Indu Bala Magotra, and Principal Smt. Sushely Sharma were pivotal in the success of this camp. Their appreciation for Ayush Department’s commitment to public welfare was heartily expressed.
In his address, Chairman Sh. Magotra emphasized the importance of such health camps in educational institutions to increase awareness about Ayurveda and holistic health practices. The school administration extended their gratitude to Dr. Mohan Singh and Dr. Vandana Dogra for their leadership in organizing this significant event. Dr. Jitender Kumar expressed his thanks to the school community for their cooperation and support, ensuring the camp’s success. He also announced plans for more such health camps in the Marh Block, reaffirming Ayush Department’s commitment to healthcare and community well-being.
