CM assures time-bound redressal, reiterates commitment to people-centric governance

Several MLAs from the Kashmir valley called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the Civil Secretariat to apprise him of a range of issues concerning their respective constituencies. The meeting reflected ongoing efforts by elected representatives to bring local concerns to the attention of the government and seek timely interventions for development and public welfare.
Among those who met the Chief Minister were MLA Chadoora Ali Mohammad Dar, MLA Beerwah Dr. Shafi Ahmed Wani, MLA Khan Sahib Saifuddin Bhat from Budgam district, MLA Pattan Javaid Riyaz Bedar, and MLA Pampore Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi. Each of the legislators raised specific matters related to their areas, highlighting the need for improved infrastructure, better civic amenities, and enhanced delivery of public services.
The legislators, representing constituencies in Budgam, Pattan, and Pampore, presented a comprehensive overview of the challenges faced by their regions. These included demands for upgrading road connectivity, strengthening healthcare and educational facilities, improving water supply and sanitation systems, and addressing gaps in essential services. They also emphasized the need for accelerating ongoing development works and ensuring that approved projects are completed within stipulated timelines.
During the interaction, the MLAs underscored the importance of responsive governance and called for closer coordination between government departments and local representatives. They stressed that timely redressal of public grievances and efficient implementation of welfare schemes are crucial for maintaining public trust and ensuring balanced regional development.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah gave a patient hearing to the concerns raised by the legislators and assured them that all genuine issues highlighted during the meeting would be addressed on priority.

He acknowledged the role of elected representatives in voicing the concerns of the people and reiterated the government’s commitment to inclusive and people-centric governance.
The Chief Minister further emphasized that effective coordination with MLAs and other stakeholders is essential for identifying ground-level challenges and implementing practical solutions. He assured that the administration would work diligently to resolve the issues raised and ensure that development initiatives reach every section of society.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with a shared understanding of the need for continued dialogue and cooperation between the government and public representatives to achieve sustainable development and improve the overall quality of life in the region.
