Dogra Group of Collegesi:e Dogra Law College, Dogra Degree College and Dogra College of Education celebrated the vibrant festivals of Lohri and Makar Sankranti with zeal and enthusiasm at the campus premises. The event began with a formal introduction by Mr. Ravinder Rao, Assistant Professor at Dogra Degree College, who set the tone for the celebration by welcoming everyone and highlighting the essence of the occasion.
The program commenced with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, invoking blessings for prosperity and well-being. This was followed by the traditional ritual of lighting the Bonfire, a central element of the Lohri celebration.
Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and Hon’ble Chairman of Dogra Educational Trust, graced the occasion as the chief guest. He delivered an enlightening address on the historical and cultural significance of Lohri and Makar Sankranti, emphasizing the importance of preserving and cherishing these traditions.
Staff members and students participated with great enthusiasm, adding joy and vibrancy to the celebration. The campus was filled with the festive spirit as everyone gathered around the bonfire, enjoying traditional songs and camaraderie.
