Jammu Police, in its ongoing efforts under Operation Sanjeevani to curb drug trafficking and substance abuse, apprehended a drug peddler and recovered 3.08 grams of a heroin-like substance in the area under the jurisdiction of Police Station R.S Pura.
A police team led by SHO PS R.S Pura, during routine patrolling near BPP Chakroi, intercepted a suspicious individual. The accused, identified as Naresh Kumar @ Kutti, son of Sat Pal, resident of Chakroi near Bus Stand, Tehsil Suchetgarh, District Jammu, was searched, leading to the recovery of the illicit substance.
A case has been registered under FIR No. 02/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station R.S Pura, and the accused has been taken into custody. The Jammu Police remains committed to combating the menace of drugs under Operation Sanjeevani and appeals to the public to assist in identifying such activities. Collective efforts are essential to ensure a drug-free society. Their identity will be kept confidential to encourage reporting and community cooperation.
