SLNM Management Trust Organizes Bhashan Partiyogita to inspire youth with Sanatana Values

Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, organized an inspiring and thought-provoking “Bhashan Partiyogita” (Speech Competition) on the topic “SanatanDharam and Science today.
The event aimed to instill the spirit of Sanatana values in the younger generation while fostering character building and cultural awareness.
Held in the serene premises of the temple, the competition marked the revival of a long-standing tradition of the Trust, which had been paused due to the pandemic. Approximately 30-35 students from classes 8 to 12, representing 10 schools from across Jammu, participated enthusiastically, showcasing their understanding and articulation on the profound theme.
The speeches were evaluated by a panel of eminent personalities from Jammu which included I.D Soni, Senior Educationist, Padamashree Vishav Murti Shastri and Pt. Bhupinder Shastri, National Awardee.
Divyanshi Manhas of Rich Harvest School, Madhvi Sharma of Shiksha Niketan, Jeevan Nagar and Shrishty Mishra of Dogra Hr. Sec. School, Shastri Nagar bagged first, second and third prizes respectively in Senior Group category.
Similarly, Ojashvi Sharma of Shiksha Niketan, Jeevan Nagar; Avantika Suryavanshi of Dogra Hr. Sec. School, Shastri Nagar and Arushi Sharma of Shastri Shiksha Kendra, Gandhi Nagar bagged first, second and third prizes respectively in Junior Group category.
Gouri Sharma of S.D Tarapuri School, Alex Ramos of Tiny Tots Higher Sec. School, Sainik Colony and Krishi Sharma of Co-Op Public School, Greater Kailash bagged Consolation Prizes.
The event was graced by Ashok Aima, Former Vice-Chancellor of Central University, as the Chief Guest, he emphasized the importance of blending scientific knowledge with spiritual wisdom. He remarked, “Sanatana Dharma is a timeless source of knowledge that bridges science and spirituality. Events like these encourage the youth to explore their roots and embrace their cultural identity with pride.”
The programme was presided over by Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and President of the Management Trust. Prizes were distributed by the dignitaries, with Gambir Dev Singh Charak announcing the winners.
In his address, Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak emphasized the importance of such events in nurturing values and cultural knowledge among students. He encouraged them to cultivate a habit of reading Sanatana literature, which forms the foundation of a strong and principled character.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by S.C Rekhi, General Secretary of the Management Trust. Other prominent attendees included Kapil Slathia, Prem Sharma, V.K. Abrol, Kulbhushan Bali, P.C. Gupta, Sumesh Damral, Ashok Khajuria, and Brij Raj Singh Bhadwal.
The Management Trust remains committed to fostering cultural and ethical education among the youth, ensuring the legacy of Sanatana Dharma continues to inspire future generations.
