Dogra College of Education Celebrates “Fresher’s cum Investiture Ceremony” with Grandeur and Enthusiasm
Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Social Cultural Committee of Dogra College of Education, celebrated the “Fresher’s cum Investiture Ceremony” on 14th November, 2024 with remarkable zeal. The event marked a significant milestone as the college entrusted its new entrants with responsibilities and welcomed them to the academic journey ahead.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge. Ms. Ekta, President of the Student Council, delivered a warm welcome address, followed by an inspiring poetry recital by Ms. Shallani Choudhary from Semester III, expressing the dreams and aspirations of the new students.
The highlight of the ceremony was the investiture segment, where badges were conferred upon elected Class Representatives and Student Council members. The newly inducted leaders took an oath to uphold their duties with dedication. Ms. MeenaLangeh from Semester III captivated the audience with a soulful Dogri folk song, adding a cultural touch to the celebration. The event also featured a PowerPoint presentation by Ms. Riya Sharma and Ms. Priya Sharma, CRs of Semester III, sharing insights into their journey at the college.
Adding excitement to the event, various activities, including a ramp walk and Q&A round, were organized to crown Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2024. The event continued with lively performances, including a group dance by Semester III students, celebrating unity and energy.
The Hon’ble Chief guest, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, (Former Minister, President of Dogra Sadar Sabha and Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust, graced the occasion with his presidential remarks wherein he emphasized the significance of discipline, dedication, and recognizing students’ hidden talents. He reiterated the college’s commitment to excellence in teacher education, aiming for societal betterment.
Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, (Secretary of Dogra Educational Trust) congratulated the students and provided valuable insights into college achievements and academic regulations. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Prof.Dharamveer Sharma, Dean, Dogra Group of Colleges, Dr.Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal, Dogra College of Education, Dr.Shefali Sharma (Management Represe-ntative, Academic Coordinator and IQAC, Coordinator)
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Mehak from Semester III, followed by the National Anthem and a group photograph, encapsulating the spirit of unity and commitment among students and faculty.
Anchored by Ms. Ekta and Ms. Dharni, the event was a memorable start to the academic journey for the new students of Dogra College of Education.
