UDHAMPUR, Oct 18
A one-day capacity building program on the implementation of YUVA Udyami Vikas Abhiyan was organized by the District Employment and Counseling Centre, Udhampur here today in collaboration with the District Administration.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Prem Singh; Chief Planning Officer Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Development Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal; District Statistical and Evaluation Officer, Darshan Kumar and other officers from the line departments also attended the event.
Key speakers, Navdeep Kour, CCO, DE&CC Jammu, Ajay Thapa, Lecturer, representatives from Government Polytechnic College Jammu, NABARD, Yash Paul, DNO, JKEDI Udhampur and J&K Bank, shared valuable insights on credit enabling, youth entrepreneurship, and collaborative strategies to drive the mission forward.
While addressing the participants, the ADC urged officers of the line departments to raise awareness among the youth about project YUVA. He emphasized the importance of the mission and encouraged participants to commit to its objectives, highlighting how entrepreneurship not only benefits individuals but also brings transformative changes to communities. The event concluded with closing reflections by Priyanka Gupta, Assistant Director, District Employment and Counselling Centre, Udhampur. Participants left with renewed energy and ideas to foster sustainable livelihood opportunities for the youth of the region.
