In a remarkable event celebrating athletic excellence, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister, President of Dogra Sadar Sabha, and Chairman of the Dogra Educational Trust, honoured and felicitated the shooters of General Zorawar Singh Rifle Club, Bari brahmana, Samba. This prestigious event recognized the achievements of shooters who have excelled in the field of shooting sports, bolstered by the complex’s state- of-the-art shooting facilities.
The Dogra Educational Complex, located in the semi-urban area of Bari Brahmana, boasts an advanced 10-meter, 6-lane shooting range equipped with cutting-edge technology and international-standard amenities. This facility provides students with the perfect environment to hone their skills under the guidance of highly qualified coach, Capt. Shamsher Singh. The infrastructure plays a crucial role in fostering talent from both rural and urban areas, positioning the Dogra Group of Institutions as a beacon for aspiring shooting stars.
Th. Gulchain Singh Charak’s presence at the felicitation ceremony underscored his unwavering commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting sports within the region. Under his leadership, the Dogra Educational Trust has consistently supported and advanced the cause of education and sports. The event highlighted the achievements of several students who have made significant strides in shooting sports. Notably, Pavneet Kour, Prabjot Singh and Ridhvan Sharma scored first position as well as Gold Medal in J&K 13TH UT Shooting championship with highest score in 10-meter Pistol Event. Rishav Choudhary and Aradhya Jamwal won silver medal in addition bronze medal earned by Vishav Choudhary and Mannnat Choudhary. Additionally, Ms. Vishali Devi, a student of the B.A. LL.B 5-year Integrated course, qualified state score in the 10 meters rifle shooting championship (Junior Category) organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association under the aegis of National Rifle Association of India at the Youth and the Service Office Gandhi Nagar, Jammu & Kashmir. The Dogra Group of Institutions proudly acknowledges the exceptional accomplishments of these shooters, which reflect the institution’s dedication to excellence in both academics and sports. Th.
