JAMMU: In a bid to support the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign and to raise awareness about climate change, Rich Harvest School, in collaboration with the Rotary Club, organized an impressive plantation drive on its sprawling campus. The event aimed to foster environmental consciousness among students while combating the pressing issue of climate change.
The Head of the Institute, Anita Bhatia, warmly welcomed distinguished guests from the Rotary Club, including District Governor P.S. Grover, Past District Governor Dr. Dushyant, President Balvinder Singh, Secretary Dr. Anamika, Joint Secretary Prof. Ranjit Singh Jamwal, and Vocational Director Dr. Sandhya Bhardwaj. The school management, represented by Managing Director, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak and Director, Ruchi Charak, was also present to support the initiative. During her address, Dr. Sandhya Bhardwaj inspired students to actively participate in environmental preservation by planting and safeguarding trees. She emphasized the importance of trees in maintaining the ecological balance and urged the children to become stewards of nature. Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Managing Director of Rich Harvest School, highlighted the numerous benefits of living in harmony with nature and stressed the need for collective efforts to preserve the environment for future generations. The event saw the planting of around 100 saplings by the guests and students, who also took a solemn pledge to care for the saplings until they grow into full-fledged trees. This plantation drive marked a significant step toward instilling environmental responsibility in the young minds and contributing to a greener, healthier planet.
