Kathua Police apprehends two accused in online fraud case, Recovers assets valued at Lakhs

In connection with FIR No. 37/2024 under Sections 420/417/IPC at PS Billawar, Kathua Police has successfully arrested two individuals suspected of involvement in online fraud. The complaint, registered at PS Billawar, highlighted a case of online fraud amounting to Rs. 677,000, perpetrated by unidentified individuals using fake identities to deceive victims.
Led by SHO PS Billawar, Inspector Jatinder Singh, and under the guidance of SDPO Billawar, the police team employed technical assistance to conduct a thorough investigation. As a result, the accused, identified as Parsanna Iyer and Dipin Sarkar, were apprehended.
The investigation also led to the recovery of significant evidence, including one laptop and seven cell phones, from the possession of the suspects.
Parsanna Iyer, son of Radha Krishnan Iyer, resides at B-K Station Road, Maratha Section, Adarshnagar, Ulhasnagar 421004, District Thane, Maharashtra, Mumbai. Dipin Sarkar, son of Ram Dass, resides at 3_3 Sudhamachal, Vishalnagar, Chinchpada, Kalyan East 42306, District Thane, Maharashtra. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
