Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, J&K BJP Media Incharge donated books to Nanaji Deshmukh Library situated in BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Dr. Pardeep handed over the books to Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra, State Incharge Nanaji Deshmukh Library & Documentation Department, in presence of Balbir Ram Rattan, former Vice-Chairperson, Puneet Mahajan, BJP Health & Medical Cell Convenor, and Sanjay Bakshi from Media Department.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, speaking on the occasion, praised the Library Department for providing a source of knowledge, inspiration and direction for life, to all those who visit the library. He said that in the times of Information and social media, the library still holds an important space. He said that the library holds the distinction of being equipped with rare works on the history of Jammu & Kashmir, the Praja Parishad movement etc. along with other social, political and other works. He, on the occasion, appealed to others as well, to donate the books, documents or other Literary works for the use of society.
Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra, thanking vehemently for the books, said that people and scholars from various parts of the Jammu & Kashmir visit the library to have a peek in the history, as the library holds a substantial number of books and documents which may not be ailable everywhere. He also floated an open invitation to all to visit the library which is also equipped with e-library facility.
Balbir Ram Rattan, said that a visit to the library enhances the mental capacity of a person, developing a new insight to see and pursue the things with perfection. He further said that this Library, which is named on great thinker Nanaji Deshmukh will serve as foundation block for readers, scholars and researchers.
