Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) is set to host a spectacular cultural event, “Duggar da Maan,” at the Bahu Plaza complex on December 22, starting at 2:00 pm. This marks the 3rd edition of the mega event, dedicated to commemorating the recognition of Dogri language.
BJYM State President, Arun Prabhat, expressed his congratulations to the people of Jammu Kashmir on the occasion of “Dogri Manyata Diwas.” In a press conference held at the party headquarters, he emphasized the significance of preserving the rich Dogra heritage and lauded the efforts of young individuals contributing to the promotion of Dogri language at national and international levels.
The event, themed “Duggar Da Maan,” promises to be a vibrant celebration featuring the participation of senior leaders from J&K BJP, prominent personalities, and enthusiastic youngsters.
BJYM State General Secretary Abhishek Salathia, Dr Himja Mengi, Ishant Mahajan state vice presidents, Sonali Vaid, Secretary, Media Secretary Abhiudit Koushal, Luv Deval Sharma, PRT Incharge, alongwith others, unveiled the striking poster of “Duggar Da Maan” during the press conference.
“Duggar Da Maan” will not only showcase the talents of young artists and influencers but also feature various food stalls highlighting Dogra delicacies and local cuisines from the region. Cultural programs representing the rich Dogra tradition will be a highlight of the event.
Arun Prabhat acknowledged the responsibility of the younger generation in preserving Dogra heritage and emphasized the role of individuals and society in encouraging and supporting their endeavors. He credited former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee for including Dogri in the eighth schedule of the Constitution of India and highlighted the BJP government’s commitment in recognizing Dogri as the Official Language of the Union Territory after the abrogation of Article 370.
Several senior dignitaries, including Padma Shree awardees will be the part of this event. Arun Prabhat extended a heartfelt invitation to the people of the Jammu region, urging them to attend in large numbers and show their support for the youngsters dedicated to promoting Dogri culture and language.
BJYM reaffirmed its commitment to preserve Jammu’s identity, emphasizing the collective responsibility of every individual to safeguard and promote the unique Dogra cultural heritage.
